Timetabling Concepts

This one day instructor led course introduces participants to the principles of timetabling and analyses typical curriculum models used in schools. No experience in timetabling is assumed.
This course covers the essential knowledge needed for the Introductory Courses.
Audience
This course is designed for those new to timetabling in schools who wish to:
- Learn how modern timetabling theory can be applied to your curriculum
- Learn the data structures involved in timetabling
- Learn Timetabling Concepts and terminology
- Learn different Curriculum models
The course is appropriate for:
Principals, Business Managers, Directors of Study, Curriculum Coordinators, Leading Teachers, Self Taught Timetablers and Future Timetablers
At Course Completion
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Outline your curriculum using modern timetabling concepts
- Describe the process of Timetable construction in your School
- Understand the various approaches to Blocking, Lines and Grids
- Understand the principles and processes involved in Timetable construction
Prerequisites
This course assumes that you have these skills:
- Basic understanding of your school's curriculum.
