The ability to set up and configure General Access is now contained in the standard installation of The Timetabler V8. Please remember to keep Version 8 General Access in a separate location to your Version 7 General Access.
General Access is a multi-user module for The Timetabler that gives network wide access to individual teacher, room and student timetables, student lists, student activities and school bulletins. Student and teacher photos can also be displayed allowing you to see exactly who is in a particular class.
The attached lesson guides you through the following steps on how to set up General Access.
1. Open The Timetabler
2. Click Configure
3. Click General Access
4. Enter Your Name
5. Set the shared network folder location of where you will copy the General Access.exe program to. (PLEASE SELECT A DIFFERENT FOLDER THAN YOU USED FOR VERSION 7 GENERAL ACCESS)
6. Set the shared network folder location of where you will send the timetable data to. (PLEASE SELECT A DIFFERENT FOLDER THAN YOU USED FOR VERSION 7 GENERAL ACCESS)
7. Click Apply Current Settings from All Tabs and Click Create Desktop shortcut.
8. Open Timetable Development module and click General Access to save your data to the shared network folder your specified at 6.
9. Open Daily Organiser and click General Access to save your data to the shared network folder you specified at step 6.
10. Double click your desktop shortcut to view General Access.
