Day Planner (used by teachers)
- Your timetable of classes, including class notes and homework
- Notes for ‘non-class’ periods
- Daily bulletins
Class lists and Roll Marking (used by teachers)
Click on any of the classes in the Day Planner and the Class List and Class Details will appear. From the Class List you can:
- Roll mark – allows you to click all as present
- Enter student absences and reasons (will include absence if already entered by administration)
- View summary of individual student absences (right click on student name)
- View summary of class absence / attendance history
- View and edit individual students details
- Print hard copy of student lists.
Attendance (used by attendance administrator)
Absent Students and Unmarked Rolls
- List students marked as absent or rolls that are unmarked for the day. Results will be filtered based on the current time. The date can be changed to any other day.
- The reason for absence can be changed in this view by choosing from a drop down list.
- Right click on a student to view their absence history, notifications history and class list for each absent day.
Roll marking
- Mark a particular student absent for a range of periods and days.
- Mark a particular class or form group absent for a range of periods and days (excursions etc).
- Mark the entire school or an entire year level absent (curriculum days, study leave etc).
- Roll mark any class as would be done by a teacher.
- Absences marked by an administrator cannot be overwritten by a teacher when marking a class roll.
- View the school roll for the day or period of days. This shows the number of student absences against total students.
Mark a particular student absent for a range of periods and days.
Attendance Reports
- Census - This is a Victorian Department of Education and Training specified report listing students with unapproved absences exceeding 20% of the rolls marked for that student. (other states added upon request)
- Summary - This report gives a summary of absences by year level and gender - within specified dates. This is also a Victorian Department of Education and Training specified report, with calculations as per their guidelines. (other states added upon request)
- Absentee List - build your own report, using a list of criteria such as Teacher, Subject, Student or Absence Code all within specified date ranges. The report can be printed, exported to Excel or used to generate mail notifications to parents.
Class Detail (used by teachers)
The Class Details Page allows you to enter class notes, homework and enter staff notes. You can also:
- Set a hyperlink and attach documents, viewable by students
- View class summary, which includes student attendance and performance
- View a list of current assignment tasks set for this class
Other views in this menu:
- Class History – a list of all the dates and details specific to any class
- Class Diary – a list of all classes and notes, over a period of days as selected
- Class History – a list of all the dates and details specific to any class
Student Details (used by teachers and administration)
Student Details can be viewed by right clicking on the student's name from any menu, or using the Find function. The log of notes are entered by any staff member and are not viewable by students.
Bulletins (used by administrators)
The Bulletin system allows important information to be distributed to staff, students or both. This is an administration tool, however teachers can be assigned rights.
- Bulletins are displayed on each users Day Planner page.
- If set as ‘priority’ the message will scroll continually across the top of each users pages.
- Bulletins are set with a start and finish date. Administrators can view all previous bulletins.
