Orders are taken in a number of ways;
- Complete the order form on our website or
- Email info@timetabling.com.au requesting to purchase. Orders are accepted by email with or without a purchase order or
- Fax your purchase order to 03 52213555
The 12 month annual subscription will commence on the first day of the month after we have supplied you with your logon details and your data has been uploaded ready to use.
What is the total cost of DayMap Web Attendance
DayMap Web Attendance is available on an annual subscription.
A 12 month license can be purchased for $2,700 + GST. This provides;
- Access to DayMap Web Attendance for a single timetable. There is no software to install or hardware to maintain - you simply logon to the internet.
- Unlimited students, teachers, admin staff
- One hour of phone support
- Access to online help and support materials
Additional support on "how to use" DayMap Web Attendance is available for $45 + GST per fifteen minutes. Support calls relating to error reporting/technical issues are not considered chargeable.
When does the 12 month subscription begin?
The 12 month annual subscription will commence on the first day of the month after we have supplied you with your logon details and your data has been uploaded ready to use.
An invoice will also be sent at this time.

Licensing
Is the license fee related to the number of students or users?
DayMap Web Attendance is licensed per timetable as it can only display a single Timetable Development file at a time. It does not have any restrictions on the number of teachers, staff members or students. The annual fee is not based on any enrolment data.
If your school has multiple campuses, but they run off the one timetable (eg a single Timetable Development file) you only require a single license for DayMap Web Attendance.

Installation
Is there any software to install or maintain?
No. DayMap Web Attendance is a fully hosted web based application provided by Timetabling Solutions.
You only need an internet connection with a browser that meets the system requirements, Internet Explorer 7.0.
All software updates and upgrades are done by Timetabling Solutions.
What browsers are supported?
Internet Explorer 7.0
Whilst we don't prevent you from using DayMap Web Attendance in other browsers such as Firefox, technical support is only provided on IE7.0.

Administration Questions
How do I add a new Absence Code?
Web Attendance > Attendance > Codes
STEPS FOR ADDING AN ABSENCE CODE
- Select Codes from the Attendance menu to obtain the list of Absence Codes.
- Click the Edit button next to any code to open the Code Editing page.
- Enter the following details which define and describe the absence type:
Absence Code (maximum 10 characters)
Description (maximum 255 characters)
Category (maximum 2000 characters)
- Tick the Counted checkbox if the absence will be counted as an absence for summary and census reporting purposes. For example, being absent from school for a medical appointment would be counted, whereas being absent from class and in the sick bay would not count.
- Tick the Approved checkbox if the absence is an approved absence.
For example, being absent for religious or cultural observances would be approved, whereas refusal to attend school would not be approved, even with parent approval.
- Tick the Administrators Only checkbox, if this particular absence reason will only be seen and selected by staff with administrator permissions.Tick the Late checkbox if this particular absence reason relates to being late for school and/or class, or leaving early from school and/or class.
- Tick the Cancelled checkbox if the absence reason relates to the class being cancelled for the student. The absence will not be included for summary and census reporting purposes.
- Write further details about this absence reason in the Details text box.
- Tick the Default checkbox if this absence reason will display as the default absence reason. During roll marking, the Default absence reason is automatically applied to all student absences until another reason is selected by an Administrator.
- Click Save to save changes to the Absence Reason.
- After saving your absence reason, click the New button to create a new Absence Code, or click the Codes button to return to the full list of Student Absence Codes.

User Questions
How do I write a Student Note?
NOTE: Student Notes are created in the Student Details page, which can be accessed in a number of ways, depending on where you are currently working in Web Attendance.
Method 1. Using the Find menu to search for a student and add a note
- Web Attendance > Find > Student
Select Student from the Find menu and enter search criteria.
- Once the required Student is found, click the View Details link to display the student's details.
- Click the "Add a student note" button and the Student Note edit window opens with Student Name, Student ID and today's date.
- Select an appropriate Initial Date and Expiry Date according to the reason for the note. For ease of selection, calendars are displayed when the "Click to select date" drop down arrows are clicked.
- The Note Category defaults to All Staff and you can click the Category drop down arrow to choose an alternative category.
- Enter the details of the note for this student(maximum 4000 characters. You can use the editing tools whilst entering the content of the note.
- The author and date are recorded when a note is created. The Last Saved Date and the Author's Name are updated with any subsequent editing on the note.
HINT: Although it is possible to enter a large quantity of text, Student Notes which are informative but brief will assist readability on the computer screen.
