Version 7 Third Edition with its exciting new time-saving features and powerful functionality make this a must-have for efficiency-minded timetablers.
The major feature of V7TE is the release of Auto Staffing (within Information Courses) allowing users to staff their entire school within seconds whilst taking into account user defined staffing constraints.
The wizard for exporting to administration systems continues to attract more and more systems.
This feature currently exports to the following systems;
aSchool
CASES21
DeltaLink
Denbigh
EDSAS
eMinerva
LearningPoint
MarkBook
PC School
Quad
ReportCard 2.0
ReportMaker
SACS
SM Reports
SWIFT
Synergetic

Plus you can export to Microsoft Excel, HTML and Text files or customise your own export files.
The following enhancements can be found in V7TE;
Student Options
• Grid | Develop
Max Class Size Button: Allows the user to globally edit the maximum class size with the facility to select a group of options.
• Importing
When importing Students and Options there is a facility to filter the records from the import file. For example if you just wanted to import the year 11 students from a file containing all students.
• Reports | Grid Develop
Courses: Displays the list of each particular course being taken and by how many students.
• Timesaver:
- Tallies: New button "Find Option"
• Multi User: Ability to edit set names so that when the users of Multi User log in they choose an available set name (sets that are in use by another user are marked in use).
Timetable Development
Information | Courses
• Auto Staffing: You are now able to automatically assign staff to classes (in the information stage) once you have set up appropriate faculties. The Auto Staffing function automatically assigns teachers to courses based on the information contained in the Staffing Information pages. It is very important to have this information as complete and accurate as possible before you use the Auto Staffing function. Each class has a faculty field in it in Information | Courses which is where the new Auto Staffing feature operates from.
• Entries flow through to all Roll Classes: If a group is part of a Multi Roll Class Group any value entered will flow through to all the groups within that MRCG including periods, doubles, triples and loads value.
• Move Group: It is sometimes useful to be able to rearrange the order of cards across the page. For example, you may want to have the Homegroup card placed at the left-hand side of the Course Information page when it is currently on the right-hand side. The Move Group buttons (Next Group, Previous Group) allows the user to move groups left or right across the Information Courses page. The integrity of groups already placed on the timetable is maintained.
• Coloured Band Groups: A visual aid in the Information Courses page to distinguish between the band sets.
• Select Teacher: Now able to show full teacher name or code when allocating teachers to classes
Information | Staffing | Class/Faculties tab
• New button Select Classes: Displays a list of the classes in the unassigned column so that you can select certain classes to include them into the selected faculty.
• Construction | RUR Allocations
RUR number and RUR name are now seen at the top of grey section for both the Display and Number tabs (previously it was just the number).
The class code is now seen in brackets on the left hand side of screen (previously it was just the card letter).
• Construction | RUR Allocations | Select RUR
List of RUR names that the user has specified appear to select from.
• Construction | Lookahead Test
When an RUR is the issue both the RUR number and RUR name are mentioned in the message (previously it was just the number).
• Construction | Edit Timetable
When selecting RURs the names are now displayed.
• Construction | Meeting Allocation
The meeting name is now displayed on the top blue line (previously not seen on the screen).
• Reports | Statistics
Displays each teacher and how many students (male & female) are in their classes.
Displays the number of yard duty periods required and number of yard duty periods you have allowed teachers to have.
• Information | Parameters
Now includes statistics on Class Loads, Meeting Loads, Unscheduled Loads, Yard Duty Loads, Total Loads, Full Time Equivalent Teachers (Required), Full Time Equivalent Teachers (Available).
• Information | Unscheduled Duties
Unscheduled Duties can now have a negative load: This feature is used to make teacher loads as accurate as possible. For example when you have composite classes, it allows you to adjust the load according to the actual value to a particular teacher. It also can be used to average a load over a year.
• Information | Meetings: We can now insert a duplicate meeting with a single mouse click using the Copy Meeting button. Meetings that are entered are allocated to a period on the timetable during the construction phase. Each meeting that is entered will run for one period. If you require a meeting to be assigned for more than one period then you need to copy the meeting multiple times. This can now be done using the Copy Meeting function.
• Importing Core Classes: You can now import core classes into your timetable file. However, this is only possible if there are no classes already entered into the Roll Class that you are importing into.
Construction | Yard Duty
• Available Areas: Enables the user to specify which areas a particular teacher can supervise, for example only PE staff on the main oval. A great feature to use with Auto Yard Duty.
• Timesavers
- Information | Staffing | Class/Faculties tab: New button "Find
Faculty"
- Information | Courses: New buttons; Go to MRCG’s, Go to RUR’s, Go to Auto Staffing, Find (class, teacher or room code).
Daily Organiser
• Student Absences: You are now able to import absences collected by other third party products such as DayMap. An import wizard allows you to import from Excel, CSV, Txt files as well as Daily Organiser files and DayMap.
