Delivering Timetabling Solutions in Hong Kong.
The Education and Manpower Bureau in Hong Kong (EMB) is embarking on introducing a new academic structure commonly known as "334" to their 1200 schools. Reforming the academic structure is a massive undertaking. The reform includes changing the senior secondary and university curricula, new ways of learning, public examination and university admission criteria, and a wider set of post-school pathways. In 2006 a tender was prepared by the EMB seeking proposals from various companies to provide a feasibility study on timetabling the new curriculum. Timetabling Solutions being unique in the world in providing consulting services and customised timetable solutions able to meet any school’s requirements was selected to complete the feasibility study involving 39 participants.
