Limited support is now available for V7TE SP1 on Windows 7.
The Timetabler V7TE SP1 is fully supported on Windows XP and VISTA (32 bit). Recently Microsoft has released a new operating system called Windows 7 which comes in 32 or 64 bit versions.
Prior to Microsoft releasing Windows 7 we had been using The Timetabler V7TE SP1 on the Release Candidate in an testing environment and did not uncover any major issues with the 32 bit version. Since its release we have Windows 7 (32 bit) installed in one of our timetabling consulting rooms which is used on a regular basis to construct timetables for clients without any major issues.
Some of our clients have commented that they've upgraded to Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit) and are working fine, but the company cannot guarantee that will be the case for everyone. However, we are keen to support our clients using Windows 7 and The Timetable V7TE SP1 and will provide Limited Support.
Limited Support means we will attempt to fix all reported issues. If the issue is isolated to Windows 7 and we are unable to resolve the issue the client will have to revert back to either Windows XP or Windows VISTA (32 bit).
The Timetabler Version 8 (under development) will be fully supported on Windows 7.
If wanting to install The Timetabler V7TE SP1 on Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit), please ensure that your regional settings are set to Australian short date styles, through the Control Panel and you install/activate the application as the local administrator.
If you are wanting to install the Timetabler V7TE SP1 on Windows 7 (64 bit), you will need to apply another file after installing which is available through "Registering" via the Software Activation and Download page on our Support page of the website.
