Getting complete student timetables - troubleshooter
Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Items to check if student timetables are incomplete.
If there are any error messages when opening Timetable Development, these need to be addressed first.

In Timetable Development, select Student Files. Check you have the correct student database(s) attached. Click Student Files | Checks to display any problems you need to address.

Check that the subject codes on the Grid match the subject codes on the Timetable. All codes must be unique and match exactly what is on your timetable. The easiest way to check this is to obtain the following printouts and compare the information:

1. In Student Options, go to Grid | Develop. Choose Grid and change the Display to show All details (Condensed). Select Print | Preview. Print this display.

2. Open Timetable Development and go to Information | Courses. Select Print All | Preview and print your course data.

Some subjects may need to be allocated in the Timetable Development Module. To check if this applies to you, on the Information menu, click Student Courses. Click the Courses tab and then use the heavy arrows to move to the next incomplete group. Move students from the Unassigned column to the appropriate class. If this does not apply for your timetable, you will get a message that reads “There are no unassigned students in any group”.

If you require further detail please view the attached file which contains step by step instructions.
