Data Entry
Outcome: To have your current timetable's data entered correctly into The Timetabler software and to obtain all reports and timetables for teachers, students and rooms.
Data Entry - Outsource Mode
This is a popular service for schools purchasing the program new. The current timetable is entered by us into the new software without taking valuable time from key school staff. This service allows the school to begin using the software in minimum time. It ensures that all the functions of the program are correctly used to reflect your particular curriculum and constraints. The timetable can then be used as a basis for the construction of your next timetable and for training your staff.
The process is quite simple:
We send a Data Checklist to the school requesting the relevant information, e.g. hard copy of the current timetable, lists of rooms, teachers, students and codes, yard duty timetable if applicable etc. If data can be provided in csv, txt or Excel format, then the time and therefore the fee to complete the process is kept to a minimum.
We enter all the student and timetable data.
The school then receives the program complete with their existing timetable, ready for use.
The fee depends upon the needs of the school and how the data is provided. A written quotation is provided once data is received. [Allow between AUD $12 and AUD $18 per student depending upon the type of timetable and how the data is actually supplied to us]. Allow up to 4 weeks depending upon size of school.
Data Entry - Consultation Mode
We coordinate and assist your timetabling staff in the correct entry of data for your current timetable. This service keeps the costs of putting your current timetable into the new software to a minimum and at the same time provides a flying start to training. The time allowed depends on the number of your staff available and their skills.
Enter the current timetable with no changes - Consultation Mode
Allow up to two days plus one day per 200 students. i.e. 4 days for 400 students.
Enter the current timetable and construct a new timetable with some code changes and a few semester class changes - Consultation Mode
Allow at least two days plus one day per 200 students, i.e. 4+ days for 400 students.
An example would be to enter the first semester timetable data and construct a second semester timetable with the changes and new codes. See Timetable Construction.
