Published : Monday, 22 November 2004 Join is used to specify which options must be on the same grid line and will allow other options to run on this line. Some schools join two Mathematics subjects, so that students who decide not to continue with the more difficult Mathematics can easily change to the other Mathematics. A number of different Join constraints can be added.
Resolution : 1. In the Student Options module, select Information|Join On Grid and select Join.
2. Click Add
3. Double-click on the subjects you wish to join from the Exclude column. These will now appear in the Include column. Click OK.
4. Enter the number of times you would like the subjects joined and click OK. For example, if Maths is running on 3 lines you may wish to only Join on 1 or 2 lines to provide greater flexibility.
