The Education and Manpower Bureau in Hong Kong (EMB) is embarking on introducing a new academic structure commonly known as "334" to their 1200 schools. Reforming the academic structure is a massive undertaking. The reform includes changing the senior secondary and university curricula, new ways of learning, public examination and university admission criteria, and a wider set of post-school pathways.
In 2006 a tender was prepared by the EMB seeking proposals from various companies to provide a feasibility study on timetabling the new curriculum. Timetabling Solutions being unique in the world in providing consulting services and customised timetable solutions able to meet any school’s requirements was selected to complete the feasibility study involving 39 participants.

"Day 1 was training the participants in timetabling theory for their new curriculum. Day 2 we constructed a timetable from scratch with real data provided from one of the participating schools - fully roomed and staffed." |
Our team of professional timetablers continued its enviable reputation of being able to construct timetables for the most difficult and creative curricula in a two day workshop. Day 1 was training the participants in timetabling theory for their new curriculum. Day 2 we constructed a timetable from scratch with real student data provided from one of the participating schools - fully roomed and staffed.
Timetabling Solutions keeps abreast of the most modern curriculum ideas in education by being involved in school-based action research locally and internationally for individual schools and organised groups. The knowledge gained from these national and international exposures, ensures that our research and development in the highly specialised field of timetabling is second to none.
